"Pigreco" means "laziness," but Omar Carraglia's wondrous Pigreco table light is anything but. Beginning with the contrast between wood and glass as materials, Pigreco table was meticulously engineered to play with concepts of matter.
A groove in the wooden base holds an LED, which is hidden from view by the glass sphere. The sphere itself is half-frosted, and free of any attachment to the base except that of gravity. As such, it can be turned and rotated freely, allowing the pattern thrown on Pigreco table lamp's surroundings by the light's refraction and diffusion through the sphere to change at your whim.
