Oriol Guimerà is a Spanish designer from Barcelona. After graduating in Industrial Design at the Elisava School of Design, he worked with a number of design firms in both Spain and Italy, before founding his own studio in 1998. He specializes in product design, and provides clients with design trend consultancy services.
Oriol has collaborated with an impressive list of clients, including Simón S. A. , Santa & Cole, Ediciones de Diseño, Taller Uno, IEP Iluminación, Grupo Mago, Miscel. lània de Mercè Bohigas, Bacardi España, Nani Marquina, Kettal, Fugar, and Estiluz.
His work has won several design awards, including the Delta ADIFAD selection in 2001. Some of his designs have also been displayed in exhibitions staged both at home and abroad. These include the 2005 Universal Exhibition in Aichí, Japan, and the Georges Pompidou Museum of Modern Art in Paris, France.
