Born in Terni, Italian industrial designer Francesco Paretti graduated in Industrial Design from the “La Sapienza” University of Rome.
Francesco has collaborated as a design and production process consultant for various design firms, including Pietro Beretta S. p. A, Poltronova, Radiomarelli S. p. A. , and Arc. Hi. Tech. He has also collaborated with other important designers and stylists including Stefano Giovannoni, Anna Gili, Gai Mattiolo, and others.
He has also worked with the Italian lighting design company Slamp, for which he created the Bach series: “Slim, sculptural, and refined, Bach emanates an unexpected sense of warmth to create a decidedly homely atmosphere. Its symmetrical radial structure generates a light column of clever geometric dignity that works well in both classic and contemporary environments. ”
Over the course of his career, Francesco has won several design awards, including the San Valentino Oro in 1997 and 1998, and the Aprilia Design Prize in 2002 for “The Scooter of the Future. ” He has also taught at the G. B. Cignaroli Polytechnic of Arts in Verona, the “L. U. D. I. ” Department of industrial Design, at “La Sapienza”, and the “Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome.
Francesco’s works have been displayed at numerous design exhibitions throughout Europe.
