The  "s" model has a discrete 55mm (2.2”) mounting plate, while the "sp" model has a paintable 115mm (4.5”) in diameter mounting plate. 28 is an exploration of specificity in manufacturing. Instead of designing form itself, here the intent was to design a system of making that yields form. Individual 28 pendants result from a complex glass blowing technique whereby air pressure is intermittently introduced into and then removed from a glass matrix which is intermittently heated and then rapidly cooled. The result is a distorted spherical shape with a composed collection of imploded inner shapes, one of which acts as a shade for the light source. The collection comes as a result of several large-scale custom installations and strong Mid-Century influences. Global's design is featured around its clear acrylic globe. The acrylic globe is perfect for high traffic areas where glass is not practical but design and style are necessary. Metal Lux No Global C Ceiling No Bianca Wall/Ceiling Bianca is a family of luminaires equipped with a fixed-mould blown cased glass diffuser with a milky white satin finish. The decoration on the diffuser surface features an orderly series of shallow delicate grooves etched into the white glass, yielding an effect resembling small footprints on fresh snow. Mouth blown, belt sanded and dipped in acid to obtain the distinctive 'silk effect' typical of fine glassware, Bianca diffusers are available in three different diameters to complete all thirteen types of luminaires belonging to the family.
