About Forestier

Through three decades and three design directors, the designer lighting brand that was founded by Bernard Forestier has grown and adapted while still remaining true to its essential values: Passion, Freedom, and Discovery.

Inspired by topiary sculptures in French gardens, Forestier sought to infuse the same essential combination of craft and nature into lighting design. Beginning with Bernard Forestier's botanical woven-wire designs, Forestier would emphasize humour and poetry alongside the rustic elegance of handicraft. When Gilles Dallière took over as design director in 2001, he added a value of distinction to Forestier's designs, ensuring that every piece of their designer lighting collections was unique.

Today, under Jean Dominique Leze, Forestier continues to meld handicraft, poetry, and nature in expressive and beautiful luminaires that are accessible, sustainable, and built to last through generations.
