Marta Sansoni is an architect and designer from Florence. She studied at the University of Florence, and represented the Department of Architectural Design at the 1991 ‘Salon International de l’Architecture’ in Paris.
Today, she works as an interior designer of homes as well as public spaces in Italy and abroad. She has participated in several national and international design exhibitions and competitions.
Marta is a regular designer for Alessi, an Italian factory for design based in Crusinallo, in northern Italy. Some of the objects she created for Alessi’s Cactus! collection can be found in the design stores of museums such as New York’s MoMa, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
She has also collaborated with the Italian Design Studio, for which she designed the beautiful Millo — a fabric lamp, soft and organic, which diffuses light around the room and at the same time it furnishes the environment it is in.
Since 2007 she has been a member of the CID (Italian Design Council), established by the Italian Ministry of Arts and Culture.
