Recessed wall lights are often found in architectural lighting, but are seeing increasing popularity with designer lighting brands. Often primarily functional in nature, designer recessed wall light fixtures add a sleekly minimalist flair to the style of spaces. One of the most common uses of recessed wall lights is as step or stair lights, illuminating walkways and staircases in dimly-lit areas for safety in a stylish way. 

In residential lighting, as well as hotel and other hospitality lighting plans, recessed wall lights are often used as adjustable bedside reading lights.
