Description

Embracing both the past and present, Sultans of Swing combines imperial elegance with the sheer pleasure of blowing new life into long-standing shapes and forms. This collection was originally inspired by the contrast of a Dutch river landscape surrounding a contemporary house. Only water and air ... were visible; a boat sat anchored by a huge twist of rope. Inside the home, classical elements were in abundance, like heavy velvet curtains with tasselled embellishments. The details and atmosphere of the surroundings were translated into a contemporary lighting sculpture - and thus Sultans of Swing was born. Available as a single element, linear, conical, oval, or round chandelier, and in a variety of sizes, the twists of rope and illuminated tassels on each suspension light are handcrafted from steel in a modern nickel finish. Due to its aesthetic values, Sultans of Swing performs well in both classic and contemporary interiors, especially in grand dining rooms and entryways. All chandeliers are supplied with a 1.7 metre chain, 2 metre electrical cable, and ceiling shade. read more
