Created for CTO Lighting by Italian designer Federico Peri, MODULO is a collection of chandelier, pendant and wall lights distinguished by its modular form, arranged in linear configurations creating versatile lighting sculptures. Birdie Suspension

Birdie LED is a new version of the Birdie, one of Ingo Maurers best known designs. The twelve LED light sources with low energy consumption spend a warm white light and thus create a pleasant atmosphere. Twelve winged bulbs diverge from one another on tin-plated copper rods. The rods are shaped by hand and the user bends and stretches the rods into their final position. Cables are available in either red or transparent. The bulbs are manufactured exclusively for Ingo Maurer GmbH and can only be replaced with models from the Birds family with LED technology. With a height of 100cm, Birdie LED is suitable for room heights up to 260cm. Suspension accessories for greater room heights are available separately. Not suitable for rooms with high humidity. The pendants hang in shape of a hexagonal bouquet, bundled together by an adjustable ring, which changes the curvature of the piece and its proportional reading. 28 is an exploration of specificity in manufacturing. Instead of designing form itself, here the intent was to design a system of making that yields form. Individual 28 pendants result from a complex glass blowing technique whereby air pressure is intermittently introduced into and then removed from a glass matrix which is intermittently heated and then rapidly cooled. The result is a distorted spherical shape with a composed collection of imploded inner shapes, one of which acts as a shade for the light source.
