Description

This sculptural light is both modern and retro. Its distinctive form with multiple arms furnish a space with great style. The metalwork is brass, then bronzed and hand waxed which contrasts with the brass detailing. The moveable glass spheres give a wonderful diffuse glow and creates a beautiful soft glow at night.

Wa Wa Floor

Created by Enzo Catellani, the lithe techno-organic form of Wa Wa F floor lamp from Catellani & Smith was still nameless when it was displayed at the Frankfurt Trade Fair. Evoking a tree grown from circuitry, Wa Wa F drew tremendous attention with its meticulously-machined stems and flower-like LED disc heads. One spectator, a woman of Japanese origin, kept repeating wa wa as she looked upon the Wa Wa family of lights, leading Catellani to ask what it meant. Honoured by her answer, Enzo Catellani chose to use it as the name for the light she had described, in Japanese, as "perfect." Tripod Floor

Slender, elegant and extremely long legs give this floor lamp a sense of lightness, yet also of great stability. Like the ancient Greek tripod, a symbol of hospitality, the end of each support is fitted with a Led light source with different forms and functions: the longest leg has a sphere in white frosted glass that produces a diffused ambient light, while the other two have adjustable spotlights for a direct and concentrated light. The structure is kept simple thanks to the cable organizing system, which runs inside the tubular legs. Ersa Floor

Early morning, when the first light of day sends the darkness of the night away, we can see one of nature’s wonders on display: dew drops formed throughout the night. Just as the change of temperature on a surface creates dew, also new finishes and materials are born under shifting conditions. The iridescence on our glass, leading to the gradual change of colour as the angle of view or illumination changes, radiates a stunning glow. Ersa, named after the Greek goddess of dew, hints as much to the fresh-faced start of a new day as the thirst for free-spirited renewal.
