Chapeaux is a project based on maximum synthesis and simplification, formed by three parts that simply rest on one another. A pyrex support that almost disappears from view, a floating core of light that encloses and conceals all the technical components, and three different freely placed hats in three different materials – metal, glass and bone china. The lamp is elegant and discreet when not in use, and produces a surprising effect when it is turned on. The light is indirect, soft, tactful: it gently bathes the transparent pyrex body, also making its thickness perceptible.
