Peek Table

The Swedish designer Jonas Wagell initially designed the Peek lamp as a floor lamp to accompany a sofa he did a few years ago. The design is simplistic, humble and somewhat quirky. He explains, "I needed a lamp which was small and humble and simply "popped up" where you needed some light. The Peek lamp has a heavy base with a long slender stem and a touch-sensitive shade. The shape and silhouette of the Peek table lamp is the same as the floor lamp – only the proportions have shrunk. Use the lamp as a reading light, as your new best friend on your desk or as the last thing you see before you close your eyes at night. "Design is my weapon," says Starck, who donates 20% of the collection’s sales to Frères des Hommes, a charitable organization dedicated to abolishing poverty around the world. The body of the Guns Bedside is made from die-cast aluminum and features an overmolded polymer coating. It is available in two color combinations: polished 18K gold with a black matte shade silkscreened in gold on the inside, or a chrome finish with a white shade, silkscreened in silver on the inside. Equatore Table

Equatore is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic lamp with a glass shade. While the traditional abat-jour uses the shade to contain the light source within, in this family of lamps the shade is paradoxically and suggestively empty, with the light being generated by two luminous discs placed inside a central metal band, visible on the shade, that evokes the line of the equator. The light produced by the Leds, thanks to internal screens arranged in layers, is distributed regularly across the surface of the discs, magically illuminating them. The lower disk directs the light output downward, the upper one illuminates the glass cap for a soft, diffused light. Available in table, floor and ceiling models, in two sizes and two colors: a cooler version in gray with a dark chrome frame, and a warmer version with a transparent dove gray cap and a copper-colored frame.
