Suspension Rings
There is something about the simple, essential shape of the circle that resonates for humans. Suspension ring lights add an entrancing and elegant effect while providing ample general lighting to a space.
Chandeliers are among the oldest lighting fixtures to use the suspension ring profile, as seen in Santa & Cole's Estadio, Lee Broom's Carousel, and Solaris and Solaris Twin from CTO Lighting. Bert Frank complicates the simplicity of Rote Chandelier's circular form by creating it from sharply-angled diamond-shaped plates, while Facet from Innermost does something similar by constructing its ring from staggered lengths of polished metal.
For something simpler, Roll & Hill's Halo Circle is a low-profile circular light that presents single, continuous LED lighting inside and outside its ring, while R2 from B.lux isolates several groups of circular LEDs around its bottom. The Ellisse family of suspension lights from Nemo enables you to align or juxtapose the multiple nesting rings to create marvellous quasi-celestial visual effects, while Eclisse SO from Contardi overlaps circular downlights to evoke an eclipse. If your space or the feature you wish to light is elongated, perhaps an ovular ring light is more to your liking, in which case we suggest Roll & Hill's Halo Oval or the boldly luxe Libe Ellipse S from Masiero.
