Description

A new twist on the classic globe light, Crescent Light is an illuminated sphere sliced asymmetrically in half to reveal a crescent-shaped brushed brass fascia. At 40cm / 15.75 in diameter and containing a high power LED bulb, Crescent Light has presence and luminosity, seamlessly combining the solid and the opaque.

Michael Anastassiades' Arrangements pendant lights show just how much a designer can do with a simple concept elegantly realized. The modular system consists of nine forms--circles, squares, lines, teardrops, and ovals--made from aluminium, silicone, and polycarbonate. The pieces can be suspended from the ceiling in any order, each hanging, like the links in a chain, from the one above. They connect using dovetail joints, which conduct electricity throughout the entire formation. Like Calder's mobiles or Picasso's line drawings, the Arrangements system demonstrates that even the most basic shapes can be combined into weird and wonderful permutations.	Flos	Yes

In 1961 this lamp was part of Miguel Milá’s first collection for TRAMO, the company he founded to produce his own work in post-war Spain. He dabbled in a profession that he would later go on to master, that of a pre-industrial designer, as he likes to introduce himself. Milá’s pieces, and the names he gives them, have an incredible depth that lies beneath their simplicity. Asa is built of a single, continuous tube. Lightweight, yet robust, the handle-shaped structure makes it easy to carry everywhere. Santa & Cole is reediting both the all-white version, pure and simple, and the original version from 1961, where the black metallic structure and switch contrast the white shade. Providing diffused light, the suspension lamp features a matte black varnished die-cast aluminum body coated with clear soft-touch varnish. The optical diffuser is opal PC (polycarbonate). The suspension system is 12- or 22- meters, with Kevlar reinforced coaxial cable. This fixture should be relaxed and then re-tightened approximately 24-hours after installation. Please note: String Lights should be connected to an on/off switch.
