The shades are handmade individually in Japan. In a unique process, the wafer-thin gold leaf is cast in acrylic. This protects the gold from dirt from the air and is perfect for use over a private dining table or in a restaurant, and is easy to clean.
The gold leaf is beaten to a thickness of 1/10,000 mm, so that short-wave blue light can penetrate between the molecules, whilst yellow-gold light is reflected. The shades each have four drill holes, with which they can be hung on the frame at various different angles. The cable and rods are red. The lighting effect can also be produced using light sources with LED strings.
The "24 Karat Blau M" module expands the individual gold light into a larger lighting system: a gold light can be turned into an extended or lengthened version of the hanging light, e.g. as a pendant light for above the dining table.24 Karat Blau M is an extension set for the hanging lamp 24 Karat Blau. The frame on which the shades hang is fixed using connective elements. With several sets users can create their own individual design by means of different groupings. May only be used with 24 Karat Blau! The lighting effect can also be produced using light sources with LED strings. The extension set consists of one frame, two shades, double collars and a connecting cable for the canopy.
