A modern re-interpretation of a 1920’s light. Hand-spun metal shades are finished in bronze and brass. Holes in the brass spinning allow light to glow within the bronze spinning creating a warm glow. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly.

Mantis BS1 Floor
As admirer of Alexander Calder, in 1951, Schottlander created the Mantis series of lamps. Movement is intrinsic to the design, devised as a clever system of counterweights; the lamp is able to pivot from one position to another. The shade, inspired by Calder's organic shapes, resembles an acrobat suspended in mid-air. This unique and modern tri-legged floor lamp will make a stylish addition when placed next to a char or sofa, in a corner nook or over a table. The base is available in matte black or satin nickel.
