Davide Groppi's Morsetto table light is an experiment in contrasts. It begins with what it is named for: a clamp, tightly gripping your table or desk--stable and secure. From there, Morsetto continues through three adjustable arms, with the last holding the integrated LED lamp.
Thanks to Morsetto's meticulous engineering, the LED head almost appears to float in space, like a bird in flight amidst the woods: weight and buoyancy at one. Moreover, its slender profile and weightless effect are only possible because of its solid foundation, a suitable metaphor for a work by poetic master Groppi.
