Paolo Rizzatto
"The light of a chandelier is sparkling, festive, and dazzling. It has a luminous valence, a spatial and volumetric valence and probably even the valence of generating wonder."
Born in Milan in 1941, Paolo Rizzatto graduated in Architecture from Milan Polytechnic in 1965. Today, he works from his Milanese studio as a freelancer in the fields of architecture, interior design, and product design.
In 1978, Paolo founded the company Luceplan with Riccardo Sarfatti and Sandra Severi. Since then, he has produced designs for many Italian and international companies, including Alias, Arteluce, Artemide, Cassina, Danese, Driade, Fiam, Flos, Guzzini, Knoll, Kartell, Laura Meroni, Lensvelt, Luceplan, Mandarina Duck, Molteni, Montina, Nemo, Philips, Poltrona Frau, Segis, Serralunga, Thonet, and Veneta Cucine.
