Francesco Librizzi
“When thinking about Sicily, it is almost impossible not to fall on the easy traps of stereotypes surrounding its imagery… winterless weather, the images of great seas and white sands, colourful ceramics, and traditional finely decorated spaces."
Born in 1977, Francesco librizzi graduated in Architecture at Facoltà di Architettura di Palermo. In 2005, he founded Francesco Librizzi Studio, an architectural practice based in Milano involved in architecture, interiors, exhibition design and product design.
Francesco’s works have been published on international magazines like Domus, Abitare, Wallpaper, and have been exhibited worldwide by institutions like the Louvre in Paris and the Triennale di Milano. He has been awarded prestigious prizes such as the Prix Émile Hermès” (2008), the Honourable Mention Compasso d’Oro (2014).
Small precious projects related to interior renovations, like “Casa C”, had gained a very respectable visibility on magazines, books and web media. Among his most significative exhibition design projects are the Italian Pavilion at “XII Biennale di Architettura di Venezia” in 2010, the Bahrain Pavilion at “XIV Biennale di Architettura di Venezia” in 2012, and the exhibition “Gino Sarfatti: il design della luce” at the Triennale di Milano in 2012. In 2013, he was invited to design an installation dedicated to Bruno Munari, for the 6th edition of the Triennale Design Museum.
