Estudi Ribaudi is multi-disciplinary creative design design studio based in Catalan. It was founded in 2002 by designer Jordi Ribaudi with the objective of creating products with their own distinct identities.
The studio’s designs are surprising yet seductive, and are born of a mixture of ideas, concepts, materials, and technology. Estudi Ribaudi suggests a new way of experiencing objects, true to the maxim present in all the projects led by Jordi: "If it doesn’t look new from 100 metres away, it isn't new".
Lighting is one of studio’s core strengths, and they have worked with the sector's most important firms. For example, in collaboration with Spanish lighting firm Estuliz, Estudio Ribaudi created the Twili, “a serene, elegant lamp” with “an outstandingly warm appearance. ”
Jordi was born in Igualada, Spain in 1968, and studied industrial design at Elisava in Barcelona. He began working as a professional designer in Barcelona in 1992, as a member of the Invenio Design Workshop, where he collaborated until 1996. Between 1993 and 1999, he was a professor at the Gaspar College of Arts in Igualada in the field of fashion design.
