Foscarini continues its long-term collaboration with Rodolfo Dordoni, presenting Chapeaux, a family of table lamps that stand out for their hat-shaped diffuser, offered in three versions using different forms and materials.
Chapeaux is a project based on maximum synthesis and simplification, formed by three parts that simply rest on one another. A pyrex support that almost disappears from view, a floating core of light that encloses and conceals all the technical components, and three different freely placed hats in three different materials – metal, glass and bone china.
The lamp is elegant and discreet when not in use, and produces a surprising effect when it is turned on. The light is indirect, soft, tactful: it gently bathes the transparent pyrex body, also making its thickness perceptible. To achieve this, Foscarini has developed a special lighting element: a source in the form of a vial that radiates the glow, making it reflect at the sides, inside the diffusers, to reach the table top in an intense and functional but also soft and glare-free way at the same time.
