The riches and vibrancy of nature inspire the form and character of every design from wunderkind lighting designer Vito Selma's eponymous brand. Born and raised in the Philippines, Selma himself followed his parents into the world of design and furniture making, setting off to gain education and experience all over the world. After earning a master's degree in industrial design in Milan, he returned to Cebu to launch his own brand.
Specializing in traditional Philippine materials such as wood and rattan, Vito Selma lighting designs push the limits of these materials, as well as exploring the way they can be married to other organic elements to produce truly unique creations. By focusing on shapes and textures found in the natural spaces of the Philippines, Vito Selma imbues its creations with an essentiality of soul along with their complexity of form.
