To earn a place as a Pleating Technician in LE KLINT's Pleating Studio, trainees study increasingly-complex techniques and methods over the course of three years. LE KLINT can proudly say that most of its Pleating Technicians have plied their craft in the studio for over twenty-five years, hand-folding the pleats of every individual light with care and expertise.
Mastering the traditions of the past is only part of LE KLINT's recipe for success. Attention to innovation and adaptation to changes in lighting design are integral to LE KLINT, which is why they have remained committed to not only working with fresh, new, upcoming designers--but also fostering such talent through their biannual grants to artists and designers through the LE KLINT Trust Fund.
