Founded in 1911, Billiani began by producing curved wood chairs in the heart of what later became Italy’s renowned chair district. Billiani thrived during the post-WWII economic boom, gaining international recognition for large-scale seating projects.
In the late 1990s, Luigi Billiani, the third generation, brought a design-focused approach to the brand. Since then, collaborations with notable designers such as Werther Toffoloni and Emilio Nanni followed, introducing a vibrant, playful style that caught global attention.
Today, Billiani continues to push creative boundaries under the artistic direction of Milan-based designer Cristina Celestino, while maintaining a deep connection to its local artisanal roots. The brand remains synonymous with high-quality, customizable seating that blends tradition with modern design innovation.
