NEW LIGHTS
Discover the New Bridge, Tonda, and Aplomb Anthracite
One of the reasons we love Italian lighting manufacturer Foscarini is because they break free from conventional boundaries in the process of developing new lighting solutions. With a steadfast focus on the design, materials, and transformative power of their creations, Foscarini embraces a liberating approach that disregards the identity of the designer. Their goal is clear: to conceive, develop, and produce decorative lamps that captivate and inspire, day and night, both when illuminated and when switched off.
Each Foscarini light is conceived as a design object with the ability to truly transform spaces, delivering not only aesthetic beauty but also evoking profound emotions. Unrestrained by production limitations, Foscarini designs with complete independence, allowing boundless ideas to take shape.
With a remarkable 35-year history of collaborations with renowned international designers, Foscarini has crafted a remarkable portfolio of iconic designs that grace homes and public spaces worldwide. Throughout their journey, Foscarini remains unwavering in their commitment to excellence, infusing every project with unwavering rigour and unbridled passion.

The Bridge Table Lamp
The Bridge table lamp from Foscarini, designed by Francesco Meda
Launched in 2022, the Bridge table lamp is a sculptural representation of the inherent simplicity within good design. Designed by Francesco Meda, the light is inspired by the instinctive gesture of folding a piece of paper to create a three-dimensional object.
The Bridge is made up of a single sheet of steel, cut by lasers, and folded without joints to make a luminous bridge. Its light source is hidden in the middle, resting on four lateral points.
Two versions of the Bridge cast light directly on the surface
The Bridge’s straightforward form is also reflected in its user interface: the lamp turns on and off with a wave of the hand, requiring no direct physical contact.
Originally created in 2014 in a slightly different version than the one included in the Foscarini catalogue, the Bridge is part of the permanent collection of the Design Museum of Triennale Milano — a testament to the company’s commitment to making contemporary design research accessible.

Along with the refinement of its visual appearance and user experience, the Bridge is a discreet but distinct presence. Like a sculpture, Bridge is modern yet timeless.
Available in two models of different heights, and in two colours, the dark red version is produced with a steel sheet cut by laser, folded and coated with a liquid finish. The brass version is made with pre-polished laser-cut brass, folded and polished a second time on the external surface. The structure is then coated with transparent enamel to prevent the brass from tarnishing. The technical grouping is composed of an LED circuit created for the Bridge with an infrared optical sensor at the centre, which turns the lamp on or off when a hand passes nearby. Its transformer is mounted on the plug of the power cord.

Tonda Suspension Light
Tonda Suspension hanging above a dining table
Designed by Ferruccio Laviani, the Tonda light is inspired by the Radical Design of the 1960s and 1970s (bold and thought-provoking) and the tenets of Good Design (balancing form with function). The result is a clever contemporary update with universal appeal, simultaneously sophisticated and playful.
Tonda has a simple name but a complex presence. To fully understand it, you have to walk around and view it from all sides. Only then can you grasp the sophisticated game of balancing between the glowing sphere and the metal support that embraces it, where the light source rests but is not attached.

Tonda is a luminous sculpture that plays with irregularity. From the light it emits to the opaline hand blown glass diffuser that shifts from translucent to clear, Tonda's luminous effect is guided by the indelible mark of the skilled artisans who make it, not the cold precision of a machine.
Tonda is fascinating for its illogical balance: the support is out of alignment yet it sustains the sphere, thanks to a counterweight provided by the coloured and shaped metal tubing. It embodies gravity — challenging and defying it, and then demonstrating it by design like a game of physics.

Perfect for diffused lighting, you can hang the Tonda above your dining table, or use it as a piece of art to punctuate your living area. Its globe light rests freely on the support, available in various colours. The metal structure is composed of a steel rod bent by mechanical arms, then brushed and polished by hand before receiving a powder-coated finish. The steel ceiling cable is attached to the end of the support rod. Cap in white ABS, metal ceiling plate and transparent power cable.
New Aplomb Anthracite
Three Aplomb Suspensions in different sizes with the new Anthracite finish
Designed by Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere, the Aplomb suspension lamp is made with a special, exclusively-formulated concrete material. Combining sophistication with texture, the light casts a concentrated beam of light downwards.
Incorporating LED technology with the contemporary charm and feel of concrete, the Aplomb’s quality and long life is assured while also energy-saving and reducing maintenance work.
Now offered in seven coloured finishes — Anthracite being the latest addition — and various sizes, the possibilities you can create with Aplomb are endless. From the traditional grey of cement in its raw form, to an elegant white, or classic brick red, just to name a few, there is room for expressing and celebrating your unique styles and personalities. Ideal for lighting up occasional tables, kitchen islands, and counters, the Aplomb is perfect on its own or hung as a group.
