Description

Small hanging lamp in concrete offered in six, coloured finishes which celebrate its personality, bringing together different styles, from the traditional grey of cement in its raw state, which adds depth to the volumes, to a stylish white hue, and a warm intense brown. Brick red, sand yellow and olive green are the colours that join the tones already in the catalogues. Perfect for occasional tables, peninsulas and counters, either on its own or in a group. LED technology now meets the textured and contemporary charm of concrete, in a new version of the Aplomb suspension lamp. The long life assured by the light source makes for a reduction in maintenance work, whereas its particular efficiency adds further value in terms of energy savings and eco-sustainability.

Whistle Set Suspension

The Whistle collection is, quite literally, a living reference to the work of glassmakers, as inspiration for the design was taken from the blowpipe, which in Czech is known as a glassmaker’s whistle. The lucid body of the piece traces the silhouette of a cone of light, and a distinct spotlight with hand-pressed metal shield constitutes its imaginary heart. The overall shape and the naked cable winding its way up through the body of the light define the character of its simplistic technical form. Arumi reflects Foscarini's ability to transform an industrial object made in die-cast aluminium alloy, into a finely crafted artefact, thanks to careful manual polishing of the inner surface and the outer border, joined by the handcrafted irregular finish of all the outer surfaces and the three reliefs that bring rhythm to the piece. Arumi embodies elegant, precious contrasts, making it beautiful even when not in use. When it is turned on, the luminous part has been designed to be gentle with the eyes of the observer, efficient but also soft in its light emission, to enhance the elegance of the polished internal part. The light flow of a dimmable LED of the latest generation is transmitted inside a very pure transparent cylinder that terminates in a detail specifically designed to project the beam onto the polished inner walls. Thanks to this feature, the light sources, shielded from view, projects the light downwards and onto the inner surfaces, enhancing the craftsmanship and emphasizing the diversity of every single lamp. A design offered in two commonly used construction materials: the rough cast of concrete and the milky smooth purity of plaster. The Bestlite BL9 Pendant in four sizes and in a numerous of finishes was designed in 1930 by the Bauhaus influenced British designer Robert Dudley Best. With its great heritage and contemporary look, the BL9 Pendant is a coveted design worldwide. Putting the simple yet classic lamp shade in focus, characteristic for the whole collection, the BL9 Pendant gives a directed light perfectly suited for kitchen and dining settings in any interior style. The Bestlite lamp design was first adopted by garages and the Royal Air Force engineering departments due to its great functionality.
